The Comprehensive Plan for the National Capital: Federal Elements is a statement of principles, goals, and planning policies for the growth and development of the national capital during the next 20 years.

It is comprised of two parts--the Federal Elements and the District of Columbia Elements. The National Capital Region Transportation Planning Board (TPB) is the federally designated metropolitan planning organization (MPO) for metropolitan Washington. It is responsible for developing and carrying out a continuing, cooperative, and comprehensive transportation planning process in the metropolitan area.

About the National Capital Region (NCR) (FAS), which includes the WITS program – a comprehensive end-to-end telecommunications service – supports over 90 federal agencies with more thancustomers; and our assisted acquisitions program provides acquisition support, project management and financial management support to assist.

The NCR and the associated National Capital Region Planning Board were created in to plan the development of the region and to evolve harmonized policies for the control of land-uses and development of infrastructure in the region.

Prominent cities of NCR include Delhi, Ghaziabad, Faridabad, Gurugram and Noida.
